The Department of Folklore was introduced in Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha Degree College in Session 2016-2017 with an aim to acquaint the students of the area with its folk customs, folk literature, folk material culture and the performing arts of the various tribes and communities.The Department plays important part of the College that imparts the students from different parts of Udalguri, Darrang and Sonitpur districts the much valued knowledge about the folk traditions and culture as a subject of study through classroom teaching as well field trips and visits. The Department presently offers only Regular Course under Bodoland University,Kokrajhar.
