The Department of Bengali was introduced in Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha Degree College with its establishment in 1990 and has been a part of the college curriculum regularly since then.The founder teachers of Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha College established as a single entity college in 1988 continued the teaching of Bengali as a Modern Indian Language subject in the newly established Degree section with the nomenclature of Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha Degree College in 1990. The Department of Bengali is an important part of the College that incorporates Bengali students from different parts of Udalguri, Darrang and Sonitpur districts offer the subject as their AECC or MIL and Skill Subjects.
